  1. Probably to keep Broberg. I’d imagine Holloway will be coming to the Blues on Tuesday. Especially with the trade they made with the Canucks

  2. It looks like the Oilers are NOT going to get the full LTIR relief for Evander Kane, because he’ll need to be placed on LTIR before the season. That’s a win too

  3. This is so depressing. I really thought we were gonna steal a top 4 d. Instead we get a maybe bottom 6 forward on a team that has like 100 bottom 6 forwards 🙁

  4. Was a bit more excited to see what we could make of Broberg, but Holloway has nice potential as well. Gonna be a lot of competition in the bottom-6 this year.

  5. If this clears the way for them to keep Broburg, then San Jose can suck a fat cock

  6. Probably not getting both, but like I’ve said before. Regardless this still kinda fucks the oilers atm.

Until San Jose decides to bail them out in the foreseeable future.

  7. I’m fine with just Holloway, both would have been nice but credit to army for putting the heat on bowman to make a move.

Also. This move makes zero sense for SJ, only a 3rd to take on that contract? and they gave up a young player which is even more strange.

  8. Damn, they’ll keep Broberg then. Did not think anybody would help them out without a high draft pick attached. Fucking San Jose. You’ve got Edmonton by the nuts and settle for a third. Fucks sake.

  9. Damn, was hoping the Oilers weren’t going to match Broberg. Still they’ve added I think close to $2million in payroll with Podkolzin and Emberson while saving $3.25 by trading Ceci. I’m not sure that gets them the whole way even with Kane on LTIR for a couple months.

  10. I don’t understand how we ended up losing this whole thing. Other than this obvious bail out by SJ being an old boys club thing

  11. Funny the Oilers fans think we’re malding over this. Would’ve been cool to take a risk on two players with potential upside but they’re massively overpaying for two players who might bust. Would we have welcomed them for that risk in our situation? Absolutely. Should the Oilers fans be celebrating like they won a massive FA because they’re keeping them both at overpays, in their win now situation? I don’t believe so lol.
