  1. It’s Ewing but there’s a world where KP never gets hurt and is an all-time legend. It’s probably a 1/100 career outcome given how it’s actually played out but could argue he had the most potential of anyone.

  2. I missed Ewing by a few years but can see why people would say him.

From my almost 20 years of watching, would go with KP even tho I know that’s touchy subject.

He was compared to Giannis and Jokic before his injury and there were arguments that he was better. He was like 21 carrying us to the 3rd seed and being comped as a dirk with better rim protection, and was probably a top 3 shot blocker pre injury.

  3. Just put Patrick Ewing for most potential best rim defender and best in the post. Straight down right behind Clyde.

  4. Kristaps Porzingis. Before the ACL tear I legitimately thought he was a future MVP candidate. We had him in Jokic/Giannis debates

  5. IQ. I know we couldn’t keep him with Brunson but the dude has a huge ceiling given that Brunson was in a similar spot of being a really good backup who thrived when spot starting and I could see him having a similar career arc to Brunson

  6. Ewing

I was born in 94 and didn’t grow up in a basketball family. Go back and watch Ewing for an hour if you haven’t. Ewing clears Pingus

  7. Going old school here, but Michael Ray Richardson was looking very good before drugs got a hold of him.

  8. Ewing by a mile, if he ever had that second star we would be living in a very different world.

  9. A fully healthy Amare post-2011 could’ve done us wonders, but Father Time and his prior injuries caught up to him by then and he just wasn’t the same MVP level player we got in that 2010-11 season
