  1. They definitely play each other harder even though neither of them wants to acknowledge the rivalry

  2. I remember Chet vs. Wemby from before Chet was even at Gonzaga. People are thirsty for these guys to go at it because there’s no one else like them in the league and they go hard at each other. It’s great. There doesn’t have to be beef.

  3. Honestly excited for this. Rivalry is great for fans and players. Without Serbia/France trying so hard in Olympics we wouldn’t have gotten the Steph show. Without Warriors, we wouldn’t have gotten 3-1 comeback by Cavs. Without Federer, Nadal, Djokovic none of the are reaching the heights they did. Without rivalry I don’t think we will ever realize how good these players can be.

So I’m excited to see the two push each other higher and reach their absolute peaks.

  4. God I wish this clip could be blasted in the face of every NBA ‘fan’ on Twitter and Reddit before they make a dumbass snide comment. There’s a difference between being a competitor and hating losing and actual ‘beef.’

  5. Heyo how you gonna make it look like Chet dropped a Nephew bomb here. He said “motherfucker is 7’5” not “nword is 7’5”

Edit my bad it was so quick on the screen i read the M as n. I’m getting old. I have a Todd MacCullogh black Sixers jersey.

  6. Welp, I like Chet now. Looking forward to that first match up at FBC on Nov 19th. GO SPURS GO.

  7. “Motherfuckers 7’5”” is hilarious

But also how do quotes work in a situation like this?

  8. Doug McDermott had given an interview to Ryen Russillo post last season trade where he clearly mentioned Wemby does take Chet matchups more seriously even if Chet wants to downplay it.. perhaps it was during the peak of ROTY discussion

  9. God this podcast era is so fucking lame. Dudes would rather gossip and tell these stupid ass stories instead of working on their games.

  10. “I’ve thought about this loss every day since July 11, 2021. I’ve never been so involved in a team, a competition. When everything collapses in an instant while you’re touching your dream, it’s hard. Just thinking about it makes my jaw clench. It’s a regret, an unfilled box inside me that I have to fix.”

Wemby on 2021 U19 World Cup final loss against Chet and USA team

  11. I think these two love to go at each other and the respect for each is very mutual. I doubt there’s any animosity towards the other, which I think creates for a perfect blossoming rivalry. Hopefully these two can stay healthy for it!

  12. You can tell that they really aren’t BEEFING. Both have that look in their eyes where if they *could* they’d train together and be even better.

As long as the league doesn’t fuck this up you legit got two men who will be on great teams battling to the top of the West….which is fucking amazing. Both teams also can easily pull rabbits out of a hat regarding trades. Whew.

  13. Wemby already ahead. Chet lost a whole season to some fake foot injury to avoid battling for ROY. /s

  14. I watched every single Wemby game this season and there wasn’t a single time that Chet was going at Wemby the way Wemby went at Chet. This is disingenous and trying to overhype Chet imo.

  15. The nuance here is that two guys can be rivals and bring the best/most competitive out of each other without there being beef

They’re both guys who play with a lot of passion and take the game seriously, but watch these two play each other and it’s obvious they elevate that. They don’t have beef, but they damn sure don’t want to be outplayed by the other

    That’s a beautiful thing

  16. I love this rivalry and can’t wait to see it blossom even further for the next 10-20 years.
