  1. I think it's a risk worth taking given the 2nd round return and giving up someone in an area that has a surplus. I want to re-live the glory of the 70's.

  2. I hope he can become the player he once was! I think MSL will know how to utilize his talent and make him a better player! Everyone has room to grow

  3. What a blast to have the mighty Laine in a Habs jersey. Welcome to Montreal Patrick. You are joining a great organization with great management and great coaches. Enjoy your time with your new brothers here. The whole city is behind you.

  4. When this guy starts scoring on the PP from Ovis office the crowd will go nuts. This should make for an exciting season to tide us over until Demidov shows up. That will be a hell of a top 6.

  5. I love the trade don’t get me wrong, but my concern is can this guy play a full season, Montreal traded for Kirby dach, in the hopes that he could be a good player for them and turn around his injury status, he missed almost all of last season, laine played 18 games last year, he played 55 the year before and 56 the year before that, the Covid year he was pretty healthy played 46 games and the year before that he played 68, he hasn’t played a full season in a long time and in most of those seasons he missed close to half the season, last year it was only an 18 game sample size he was on a 27 goal pace, the years before he had a 32 goal pace and a 38 goal pace, so there’s goal scoring there, but can he stay healthy, he’s also getting paid 8.7 million for 2 years, now that really doesn’t matter to Montreal right now, but this is a trade that I’m happy with, but I’m not shooting my expectations for this team up until this guy proves to me he can stay healthy and produce, because bringing him to Montreal is for one reason, put the puck in the net
