The San Jose Sharks Should Be In On A Yaroslav Askarov Trade From The Nashville Predators
The San Jose Sharks are reportedly interested in the services of one of the best goalie prospects, Yaroslav Askarov. Start with why Askarov has asked for a trade from the Nashville Predators and who Askarov is as a player. Then, why does it make a ton of sense for the Sharks to look to acquire Askarov? Finally, consider why this trade feels like a hockey trade instead of a picks and prospects trade between the Sharks and the Predators since they are in a win-now mode.

Fabbro and Askarov
For
Ferraro, Bordeleau and sharks 2nd
Think that could be reasonable
I like Sharks getting Askarov.
You don't have to give up alot. Goalies cost less than other positions in trade assets. That's what The Hockey Guys says.
How does Askarov's developmental timeline match up with Celebrini and Smith's, who will start their primes in ~6 years when they are 24?
They better not give up that 1st they got for vegas if they are going after him… But it is Grier so he will probably give up vegas's 1st, a 2nd and Mukham
Forgive me for being gun shy but I'm still recovering from the DW years of trading young talent coming back to bite the sharks in the butt. Really don't want to give up anyone too promising. I don't know, guess we'll wait and see.
Askarov for Future Considerations 🙃
Askarov for a bag of pucks 😊
If we are in on getting him, I think the package could be Rutta/Sturm + Bords/Goose for Askarov and a cap dump player. Would solve our lack of a 3rd goalie problem too. I love Bords and Goose but I think there’s only room for 1 undersized offensive reliant winger on a competitive team so why not make everyone happy
