[Meltzer] Hearing the Flyers have interest in bringing to camp a “Euro goalie with North American experience”. I believe it refers to 25 y/o Eetu Makiniemi, who has played in Finland’s Liiga, briefly (2 GP) in NHL with the San Jose Sharks and AHL with Chicago Wolves & San Jose Barracuda.

I’m looking at this from the perspective of a Phantoms STH:
Not very inspiring news when you look at his numbers at the AHL & ECHL level with the San Jose organization last season.
I’m more interested I’m bringing in Russian speaking players on PTOs at this point.
Artem Anisimov was a Phantom a year and a half too early
I’d also suggest bringing to camp a forward with scoring experience.
