  1. To the Eagles? Oh lord that is spicy. I wonder what was going on with him. Quite the fall from grace after his promising rookie season

  2. Receiving core was thin enough as is too

    That plus trading in division

    That siad trust in AP

This marks the second time in recent months that Philadelphia and Washington have made a trade. The Eagles traded up with the Commanders in April’s draft to land Cooper DeJean, and now they’ve traded with Washington for Jahan Dotson.

  4. I was called delusional last week for thinking Jahan could get a 3rd round pick lol.

I hate that it’s the Eagles

  5. I think there’s an argument to be made that Ron Rivera is the worst coach of the Dan Snyder era both because of the on-field results but mostly because of the personnel mismanagement and how far he set the team back with his awful drafting. At least Zorn wasn’t making draft picks and signing free agents.

  6. Idk why everyone is mad… the dude was not doing good. I’d rather do the trade now than wait til next year after a bad season and we get much less

  7. They must have NOT liked what they were seeing from him. Hopefully we can turn those picks into something. Lets not make trades with divisional rivals please.

  8. Shouldve had Olave, Hamilton or McDuffie. Instead we have a 3rd round pick.

    Fuck Ron.

  9. Eagles fans seem to like this move. That doesn’t make me feel very warm and fuzzy, but I trust AP so we’ll see.

  10. Dang, he really was the odd man out in Kingsbury’s scheme. That’s gotta be hard on the kid, seemed like a good dude. Hope he does well, just not against us.

And if we recognized he was a bad fit I’m glad we got value for him.

  11. This team is so insanely deprived of talent. I don’t think Dotson is much more than a WR3 but we are in for a long year

  12. Wow. The new staff must have thought very little of him to trade him to a division rival.

I never liked the Dotson pick and never thought he’d be any better than a third option – but I’m still very surprised to see us trade him. This new FO is not fucking around.

  13. The only way this makes sense is if they think he’s basically a redundant piece at this point and his value is only going to get lower.

  14. Dotson fell out of favor with back to back coaching staffs. He didn’t hold up to Bienemy’s tough coaching last year and his nonchalant personality didn’t vibe with what Peters and Quinn look for in players(tough, competitive SoBs).

Physically Dotson is small but also isn’t that quick, his RAS score when drafted was very low. The one thing he had going for him was his hands but he dropped a lot of balls last year. He gets absolutely wrecked by physical man coverage.

He was basically WR4 at best throughout camp. He was playing deep into preseason games and still didn’t show much. He was dunzo and I’m actually surprised we got what we were able to get out of him.

Can’t believe Ron Rivera passed up on Chris Olave and Kyle Hamilton to trade down in that draft…..

  15. Turns out that being outplayed by Dyami Brown and Olamide Zaccheaus was in fact a red flag

  16. That’s 3 out of 4 1st Round draft busts for RR. Forbes is definitely not living up to his 1st round grade either but there’s still a glimmer of hope for him.

  17. I’m OK with trading him as it seems like Brown will be #2 and he wasn’t fitting what we wanted on offense for whatever reason but to trade him to the eagles sucks.

And Ofcourse it sucks to get a likely high 3rd round pick for someone we drafted in the top half of the first round just 2 years ago.

This also is the cherry on top of that absolute shit show of Ron Rivera and company and how absurdly terrible they were at drafting.

Like this is an all time worst front office/gm job that Rivera and company ran it is insane how many players they drafted that aren’t on this team or even a contributing player on another team.

All time botch job. Jesus christ. I sincerely feel like some random Joe off this subreddit could have at worst drafted as poorly as Rivera did.

I desperately wanted Hamilton that year but was hopeful for Dotson and man this sucks
