Just found out my dad’s cousin (uncle for short) Wayne passed yesterday. The man was a super fan. Watched every game, thick and thin, he was NOT a fair weather fan. It almost feels fitting that the Os lost yesterday, Wayne definitely watched his fair share of losses.
My dad went to his place to clear it out and sent some pretty impressive memorabilia including a signed Eddie Murray ball, signed Chuck Thompson ball AND a very faded World Series pennant signed by the whole team!! There are also a lot of bobble heads, if anyone is a real nerd for collectibles and want to give me some insights, I’d love so send pix. Rest in peace Wayne, sorry you couldn’t make it through such an exciting season.
