so excited for the upcoming season! As someone who got into basketball only fairly recently, I'm sad about what I missed – but also can't complain because I get to watch player's (like Wemby) entire future career unfold.

I'm hoping against hope that the Hawks f up this year and the Spurs get their top pick. From what I've seen and heard, Flagg's strongest skill right now is his defence. Castle at the 1, Vassell at the 2, Sochan and Flagg alternate 3 and 4, with Wemby at center. That's a defensive monster.
I've always maintained that the Pippen, Rodman, Jordan, Harper Bulls were the best defensive team ever. I thought the Pat Bev, PG, Kawhi Clippers might get there. If the Spurs can pair up Flagg, Harper, or another defensive stalwart, maybe they'll challenge those Bulls teams.
Their defense will be great, as long as you fast forward over the Zach Collins minutes
The spurs will suffocate their oopenents with D-fence…. D-fence wins championships

The crazy thing about the defensive rating is that it got better because the Spurs stopped restricting Wemby's minutes. I mean that first month or two I think he was averaging twenty to twenty five minutes a game. I mean the strategy worked but it really capped what he could do. Then there was the great experiment that cost the team 15 to 20 games. Honestly that team should have won probably five to ten more games. It was frustrating, but fun. I could definitely see them repeat how they started last season with a couple of big surprising wins, but this time I don't think they will collapse.
