One day, #kap is off the bandwagon, the next day, he’s back on. Such are the 2024 #chicagocubs. #justinsteele was fantastic and the #cubs got a big blow from the bat of #miguelamaya early. He hit a grand slam and had a 3-hit day and they never looked back.

Kap highlights the next 12 games against the #marlins #nationals & #pirates and asks why can’t they go 9-3 against those teams? If so, at least they’re in the conversation in the final month about stealing a #wildcard berth. Let’s see how it plays out. It’ll be a wild ride.

  9. No team is gonna get better in Sept more than the Cubs. 💯 Horton is pry up at SP5 or Bullpen. Brennen Davis, Shaw, Cassie. Gonna be adding a ton of talent so can that will spark this team as well. You bet!!!

  16. If not this year, next year…..repeat to 100, keep giving ricketts your money and Wrigley rocking, all is well with the Cubs, as long as the fans keep ricketts pockets full, no need for change. Willing to bet Jed stays next year….

  19. Come on Kap ! Give it up . This team can't be losing games to teams like the Tigers , and the Tigers are saying the same about the Cubs . Both of these teams stink and the home team can't sweep ? The Cubs aren't a playoff caliber team , and they won't ever be one under Hoyer . Hoyers refusal to go for the gusto to aquire a couple of established genuine stars puts a stopper on any playoff hopes , now or in the future . Anyone who believes that their unproven prospects alone are going to make this team a winner is delusional . They need a legit shutdown closer and a couple more dependable bullpen arms and a couple of proven thumpers in the lineup to boost their anemic offense . There not going to get it from Hoyer so accept this losing culture and be happy to go out to Wrigley and sing while you stuff Ricketts' pockets with your cash !
