  1. I really hope this is disproven. Fucking shitty way to do in a guy like Servais that gave like a decade to your team and broke the playoff drought.

  2. That’s just kinda shitty. Media is going to do what they want (in that they’re always trying to be first for breaking news) but you’d think whoever their source was they’d at least ask them to be respectful of Scott until he was told in person.

  3. You can’t convince me dipoto didn’t leak it to Rosenthal after yesterday’s private interview with him. He leaves a trail of bad relationships behind him. Can’t wait till he is gone this offseason.

  4. Dipoto is a clown who doesnt do player relationships which in turn hurts our ability to sign guys. Ask Kyle Seager or Jarred Kelenic on how he does business. Players talk to each other r

  5. Mariners ownership will fight tooth and nail to block a team from possibly being in Portland because they know they would hemorrhage fans that are fed up with this organization.

  6. That is fucking disgraceful. For a guy who has been in your organization for this long to find out he is getting fired like that is a real bad luck for the Mariners organization

  7. Breaking: Servais showed up to the stadium with a mohawk to inspire the players, but was quickly led into a meeting before greeting the team.

  8. How does stuff like this happen? Ownership just calls a reporter to tell them? They have a rat in the front office who secretly leaked it? I’m trying to imagine how this is an honest mistake or miscommunication. Its just straight being terrible people either way

  9. Shades of the Braves with Fredi Gonzalez. IIRC he learned of his firing when he received an email from Delta confirming his return flight for later that night, while the team was still in the middle of their series in Philadelphia.

  10. Bad way of doing business.

Social media is great for information gathering/sharing, unless you’re in the business.

  11. Social Media is cancer and no I don’t count Reddit cuz I am a huge fuckin hypocrite.

  12. That’s not right man… even in this world of leaks and insiders etc, the first call you make should be to the person it affects. No exception.

  13. What a horrible way to learn you’re fired. Of course, it’s the Mariners front office, so maybe not that surprising.

  14. Isn’t this kinda more on the “source” that leaked the information to reporters? Having said that, I agree that this is a terrible situation

  15. Fuck whoever in the front office is responsible for the leak. Regardless of how disappointing this year’s collapse has been Scott’s been with us for so long and helped make the 2021 and 2022 seasons magical for a fan base that had tasted basically zero success for two decades. He deserved so much better.

  16. Just in case Seattle wanted to enjoy the seemingly quite realistic goal of playing their way back into the race..

… Oh and that probably includes operational leadership that enjoy having to schedule more folks in the ballpark .. and therefore the workers to handle the crowds…

    Brutal

  17. i think fredi gonzales found out he was fired from the braves when he got an email confirmation for a flight since they were on a road trip and they were sending him home early
