  1. Sucks for the Oiler's but at $4.8 million Broberg wasn't worth that type of value at this point and as soon as the Oilers made the deal with Vancouver it was obvious that Holloway wasn't going to be re-signed.

The difficult part for Edmonton will be can they put together a decent blue line given the losses so far.

  2. Couldn’t agree more from the Blues perspective as a Blues fan. The upside is huge! Plus, Drew Bannister being the coach being good with young players is a big factor too in terms of development.

  3. Lol they can have them for those dollars lol and the league remembers offer sheets so what a waste the Blues did here. Holloway was mediocre and Broberg was a huge pain in the ass and quite bitchy

  4. shocked that they did not match both. I know Broberg is an overpay at the moment but dang man you gotta find a way to keep one, but when you are in win a cup NOW mode I totally get it. Be interesting to see how they do in St.Louis and if the Blues flip them ( especially Broberg) for assets if they don't pan out. If Broberg turns into a top 2/4 guy at that size this is a big win for the Blues and an eventual loss for Edmonton. But there were also people who thought Calgary won the Tkachuk trade, so what do we know anyway lol.
