  1. Who-TF would call Makar overrated? That's obsurd. It has to be east coast media who we know doesn't watch any games that aren't in the EST time zone.

  2. My team !

Wish Landy all the best . Dude is doing his damned-ist to get back .
Not sure how i feel about Nuke . Currently not so good , as a member of the Avs . I do hope he gets his poop in a group regardless .
Hope L.O.C and Lehky come back strong as well .
I think Justus is finally going to be the second goalie they've been needing for awhile .
Interested to see how Kovalenko jr. does also . Remember his pops fondly .
    Malinski is sneaky good .

  3. Pretty unrealistic to think Landy is going come back in on the second line, after what is two years without a single game played, and what is essentially experimental surgery (at least for an elite professional athlete).

I would love to be wrong.

  4. I can't wait for The Captain to hit the ice again, and I'm really excited to see what Nate Dogg can do after coming off of a Hart Trophy! We also got to keep Mittelstadt and Drouin! It'll be interesting to see how Brannstrom and de Haan perform; those guys were the biggest Free Agent pickups we made. Huge contract year for Georgie, too. Moose and Makar are still kicking butt, too! I do think the Central will be a rocky division to traverse this season, and the…situation. The situation with Big Val is ongoing, but I believe in us. We're in this together, and this season is going to rock! Go Avs Go!!!! โค๐Ÿ’™

  5. As a Avs fan I hope Landy comes back but not sure how well he will be but hoping for the best. The team needs to get rid of Nut as soon as they can. I wanted him gone when he skipped out of the playoffs the first time and now he has done it twice, as a team sport you cant have that. He is a great example of how you kill a team with one player. I do wish him all the best though.

  6. As an Avs fan I have doubts about landeskog. His injury has kept him out for two full seasons. As far as Nichushkin goes, I have been a big fan and think the Avs are a much better team with him on the ice, He has been a huge disappointment for me considering his playoff antics over the last two years. Not to take anything away from Seattle or Dallas, if he had been there I think there is a good chance that the Avs win both of those series. Excellent review.

  7. Good to see Landeskog back at some point and it will give a boost. However, I'm concerned with the depth. 3rd in the Central with 100-105 points.

  8. I think this team is just going to do maintenance. Because the landeskog and nichuskin contracts tie their hands right now. Either both come back (and stay back) in the line up which i think will bolster the team up quite a bit. Or one or both fall through and the avs will have roughly 7-14 mil to play with.

  9. I'm a little worried Gabe returning is going to be similar to Peter Forsburg's return in the mid 2000s after he was out forever due to injuries and surgeries. I hope I'm wrong and he's still the same fierce player he was in 2022, but two years is more than enough time for a star player to permanently lose their edge. As for Val, the guy obviously has problems and his disruption to the team is no small matter. I think they should just trade him and allow him to become someone else's problem. The final loose piece is Gorgie. He's a good goalie, but not a great one. He's way too hot and cold in his performance to ever win a cup. The Avs need someone who performs way more consistently from game to game, obviously consistently good. I think he'd be a good backup, but the Avs need a top contender if they're going to avoid a repeat of 2023 and last year.

  10. Georgie is a solid goalie. He had a great year his first season. Last season, not so much, but there were also some massive defensive issues that didn't help him. He's entering a contract year and Juice is looking to be a solid goalie.

  11. A real dice roll of a season. If everything breaks their way (Landy, Val back to peak, goaltending good enough, Mittlestadt breaks out) they could definitely win another cup.
