I have a 1996-97 team jersey signed by 26 (by my count) players.

Looking for some advice on best method or company to get this authenticated and appraised.

Background: this jersey was a gift I received from a family member who was on Rod Bryden's corporate team at the time they took ownership of the franchise.

Opinions and advice much appreciated.

  1. It is unlikely that it is worth getting authenticated because the ceiling for team signed jerseys is low. Sens team signed jerseys typically sell for $100-$300. Maybe more if it is a really nice authentic (on ice) jersey from a period loaded with stars.

PSA or BGS may authenticate it, but I am unsure of the exact cost or how they handle multiple signatures. You also have to account for shipping to and from. The cost might be close to or exceed the value of the jersey.

Your best bet is you want to sell it is to sell it as is. Maybe you make more by authenticating it with PSA or BGS, but I doubt it would be an increase high enough to justify the cost.

  2. I have a 09-10 SNES jersey signed by the team…..won it at a Junior A game. I stapled the ticket stub to the fight strap…that’s as much authentication as it’s going to get because it’ll hang in the man cave till I’m too old to care!!
