"Playing to get the coach fired" especially after that Game 2. Like with Monty, the league passed Vogel by at the worst possible time, like Scott Skiles and Duane Casey before them.

Re: the mix in the locker room, I think it'll be better as long as Bud listens to his players more than Vogel and his staff did beyond babying them with the "refs suck" notion that'd happen at times. The way Vogel froze Bol for more Eubanks minutes, despite both the metrics and the on-court vibes not matching up to that commitment, and then reports coming out after the fact that the Big 3 were wholly united in making sure Bol returned this season, is why the team froze at the worst possible time despite using the hardest L10 ever as a playoff primer and coming away 7-3 with it. Tyus, Mason, and Monte seem to have a more realistic head on their shoulders about their role compared to Eubanks or EG. EG in particular was baffling in the confusion about his role especially at his age.

Jaden McDaniels and NAW had Booker in complete and utter hell.
At least part of the problem was size/length advantage the T Wolves had.

The reason they lost and the wolves produced way above their seasonal average was because they don’t have a rim protector. As soon as they ran into rim protection against the Mavs they looked average on offense again.
Vogel wasn't the problem. He has good defensive schemes with no defensive players. Suns just was too small with no answer for Ant and no team chemistry. Things would look different if we had poa defender like Dunn. That makes us balanced with defense and offense.
