Atlanta Braves Continue to Win Series Despite Offensive Struggles

Most of the replacements players have really done well i wknow Merrifield had a hard day with 2 errors but the first one was a smash the other just didnt get in front of it ….but im happy with our team…Sean needs to find his bat again.. but im happy the way with all the injuries. we still are a possible playoff…amazing!!!

3. The Braves' new acquisitions are doing well. However, Murphy, Olson, and Kelenic are killing this team.

4. Why does Snitker continue with Luke Jackson? He can not use it in close games.

5. Make d'Arnaud the primary catcher.

6. Next week could get really ugly if these duds dont start hitting and the pitching regresses even a little. Minnesota is pretty good and Arcia poked the bear and probably woke the Phillies up. It will be raucous up there.

7. Fangraphs have Drake Baldwin ranked even higher than Kiley McDaniel as he's 35 on Fangraphs updated top 100 list, so McDaniel's isn't the only one that's very high on Baldwin. His batted ball data has him hitting more evenly to all fields, his plate discipline is very good, and his contact rate though not as good as Nacho Alvarez's would still rank in the top 30 in the majors. It's kind of reminiscent a little bit to a young Freddie Freeman offensively when he was coming up through the system. Baldwin's expected stats basicly back up his good hitting, but have him hitting for more power, and his .394 wOBA is outweighed by his .410 xwOBA which is good,, along with producing a 92.5 mph exit velo which is a positive. If he continues to look good next year, there may be a thought to having him be the future DH once Ozuna's contract expires.

8. It wasn't talked about much when it happened, but losing AJ Minter is looking bigger and bigger.

9. Shea Langoliers has as many homers as Matt Olson. And Olson is only one homer ahead of Mark Vientos who has 180 less at bats. The only good thing about Olson this year is he seems to be playing better defense at first base than he ever has in Atlanta.

16. Gio, whit and Romon are the three best hitters right now because they didn’t have the same hitting coach philosophy all year. This team is unable to just put the ball in play or play small ball because seitzer hasn’t taught it at all.

22. I wish Snitker would just play the hot hand and use d'arnaud as the full-time catcher from here on out. I can't continue to watch Murphy swing the bat with runners on base. It's pathetic. His swing and offensive skillset are not going to get better as he ages. I would love to trade him while he still has any value

23. We all understand why Jackson was pitching. Our bullpen has been taxed. But the issue is why he's even still on this team while Daysbel is wasting away in AAA.

24. i hope when they donot make the play offs that the braves owner fires the general manager and all the coaches and doctors and start over with a lot betterteam this is so bad.

26. I feel that the amount of injuries are really showing how difficult it is for this offence to find itself. Olson, Arcia, Sean, and Mike all need to find themselves. I’m confident they can and getting Soler on track will be huge. This offence won’t be record breaking but they can still be a formidable opponent. It seems people keep forgetting how much they have lost this season. Heck even Mike was pulled from yesterday’s game lol. However they definitely can produce more

27. Sean Murphy has become a liability, and D’arnoud makes me feel much more confident.

30. DFA Jackson he has sucked Since TJ surgery and Snit continues to use him and will continue to use his wait and see

32. This is the huge week and weekend for the Braves. If the Braves get to Monday still with the wild card lead then the schedule greatly favors them over the Mets and all the other teams that are within striking distance.

    While the Braves have the Phillies for 4 games, the Mets will have the White Sox for 3 games. Figure a Mets sweep of the White Sox is possible. Mets gaining ground is likely. If you look at the rest of the schedule there is no other place where the Mets have this much advantage in having such a weaker opponent.
