About:
Today we are breaking down the Red Sox’s worst series of the year so far and The Red Sox’s worst games at Fenway in the 2024 season. The Red Sox got SWEPT by the Arizona Diamondbacks, so we are looking at all the latest Red Sox highlights as well as talking about how The Red Sox are playing TERRIBLE right now, news surrounding this series, and what kind of impact this could have on the 2024 Red Sox. Does this mean The Red Sox AREN’T Making the playoffs? Who is to blame for the Red Sox playing SO badly??

  1. Corbin your the man, but I gotta follow up from last week when I mentioned Lucas Sims not putting together consistently clean innings. You told me he doesn't do well against Houston, I'll let that slide. PLEASE explain now since he's been with the Sox. I looked at all those numbers he's been overall NO BUENO. Side note the pen is terrible

  2. A team this bad at home doesn't deserve to make the playoffs. I'm just hoping they can avoid their third straight late season collapse under Cora and finish over .500 for a change.

  3. I think the offense has to be better too we can’t have only one inning a game where we score and then hit into double play after double play or simply leave runners in scoring position. Yes pitching sucked but I was not impressed at the offense at all.

  4. Too many Ks from Boston continues to hurt them. Not getting a timely hit with RISP. The bullpen is a leaky ship, but they don’t quit and they’re not out of it. Can’t explain the Fenway record? Houck, Crawford. and Bello are getting valuable experience finishing the season putting in the innings, should help them next season.

  5. Clearly the Sox don’t have enough talent to make a deep run in the playoffs. That said I do not want to see them give up. I want them to scrap and fight to make the playoffs. This team is young, they are inconsistent. They are also gaining experience.

Breslow is going to have to make some tough, controversial moves in the off season. But if he makes the right ones the Sox will have a very realistic chance of being in the 2025 playoffs and the type of team that will be dangerous.

  6. I didn’t want to say it before hand, but I figured this series would end up like this. 1.) The D-Backs are just about the best team in baseball these past two months. 2.) The 2024 Red Sox are bad against the NL West. 3.) The Red Sox lack any magic at Fenway Park. They’re the worst home team in baseball relative to their road record by far and in my almost forty years of watching, I have never seen anything like this.

Corbin, you’re right, the baseball gods were a little kind to the Red Sox this weekend. But there are some season long trends that need to be reversed – and fast – if they want to see October baseball.

  7. The Red Sox need to take care of business ASAP starting tonight against Toronto … Being 4.5 games behind the Royals and Twins in the AL wildcard race, it is starting to look that they will need more outside help from KC and Minnesota opponents by knocking them back a peg or two in the standings … Regardless how this season plays out, our Sox can no longer afford to lose an entire series if they are to remain in serious playoff contention … If not, "Wait til' next year !" …

  8. They ARE DONE Corbin STICK A FORK IN THEM they are not making the playoffs hate to say that but believe me been a Boston fan since the 80's seen it all. They cant even WIN AT Fenway💯💯. Im more focused now on the Patriots and very soon the celtics.

  9. Corbin, the Sox pitching staff does not excel at the proven formulas that make a thrower successful.
    1) get ahead in the count- very often this staff misses with its first pitch and sometimes with the 2nd. 2-0 is NOT a good count to be in.
    2) Hard stuff inside and soft away……..pitchers like Glavin and Maddox made a living off this……. But again…… our staff does not seem to be able to find the plate on either side, and therefore cannot control the at bat.

  10. Their pitching sucks , they have made too many errors , they strike out way too much. Bring back Dom Smith, Casas is way overrated .Breslow signs players that have longtime injury issues. Wait till next year.

  11. 2 things, 1) Thank you for keeping me updated on everything while I can't watch the games 2) Kutter did pretty good but still lost, what worries me now though is Pivetta is coming up in the rotation and we need wins. Those two don't go together well, and you can't even use an opener for him and let him come in as a LRP because we don't have a good enough bullpen for it

  12. I actually agree with you that it's not over however going into 2025 they have to figure out how to play better at Fenway. Obviously the pitching is the biggest concern but lack of right handed power is a huge problem. Saurez by no means is a great player but he's a right handed power hitter. I realize the game has changed over the years but this team needs a minimum of 2 right handed power hitters and they barely have one right now. There has been numerous examples this season when the opponent came in with right handed power and because of that they beat our home that is unacceptable but I'm going to continue paying attention it's almost Sept and anything can happen

  13. I May I've Had Said Months Ago…PITCHING-PITCHING-PITCHING……Starters S/B Relievers…..Relievers S/B Should Be Gone…Just Saying Corbin……Call-Up Time…YEA !!!

  14. Is there a chance Yes but only if the team decides to play like a major league team that we know they can do. It was a frustrating weekend!! I can handle guys striking out swinging the bat but it drives me mad when I see called out on strikes!@ The bat on your shoulder gets you nothing!! Somebody up above must like them to only lose one game in the wild card with the garbage they played. Reminded me of the early sixties when the team was just bad!!

  15. In this 3-Game Series
Sox Starters ERA 7.16, Bullpen 8.44
    Eugenio Suarez .615, 10 RBI
Boston Red Sox .211, 9 RBI

The Sox can't Pitch, can't hit with RISP, and Strikeout all the time. THEY'RE WET STINKING GARBAGE!!!!

  16. This team proved themselves to not be a playoff worthy since the all star break. They should be directly in the mix rather than 4.5 back. There’s still a chance but it’s getting slimmer after every series

  17. Mathematically they are still alive and have a chance to play post season ball. However the Eye test says they are not going to be there. Way too many negatives that suggest this is not there year, which IMO is okay. They exceeded all expectations with what they were given at the beginning of the season and at the trade deadline, which is becoming a broken record by the way. For the first time in a few years I have hope for the future at least offensively. Still don't know where the pitching is going to come from if they don't start spending on that part of the team. If I were in charge of the Sox I would say, let's slowly bring up the kids week by week in September so we can give them a taste of what they need to do next year to be at this level. If they were to surprise everyone and play so well that we do make the playoffs then that is great, but for this year, with the lack of consistent pitching, poor defense, and a really bad home record at least give us some fun with the young ones going forward.

  18. Some people are glass half full and some are glass half empty. Corbin is like, what glass! Lol. Tbh, Iooked at our next few series and I did not expect any return from the D-Backs. We do have three winnable series coming up though. However, what will be different if we get post season? Same team, same issues.

  19. Tyler O’Neil is having a hard time making contact. He can’t even foul off pitches Just swing and miss All the Time. He would easily have 200 Ks if he didn’t get hurt so much

  20. Simple. Just not good enough. Start working in the next gen. Shutdown Story and Hendricks. The future actually looks bright.

    And Sims? Smh.

  21. They faced a VERY good pitching staff…..anyone notice Jordan Montgomery is having such a poor season he's been demoted to the bullpen?? Glad the Sox passed on him given what his season looks like….yikes! Sox need to step it up big time !

  22. This has kind of been the story of this team in 2024 , a rollercoaster of highs and lows. Great road trip come home get swept…this team at home has been on going mystery over a few seasons..

  23. Barring a slam dunk miracle the Sox are done for. I'll keep listening till the bitter end (provided they don't completely tank) just to see how the injured returning off the IL do, see if the young studs continue to develop, see if they call up anybody from AAA in September when the roster expands, etc. Coming up they're playing some pretty weak teams so there may be a few more wins left. Pitching is shit for the most part. Offense used to be shoring us up but too many strikeouts and the runners left in scoring position are killing us right now. And of course we can't forget the plain old baseball 101 dumbass blunders like Yoshida pulled Sunday.
But yeah, still some interesting BB left. And wouldn't it be great if they ended up with a winning record this year! Go Red Sox! 😊
