Leafs Still Looking for Left Winger

Yesterday, Elliotte Friedman said that the Leafs are potentially still looking for a left winger. Here’s a couple of players that are available to sign. And also, what does this mean for Nick Robertson?

Who would you like to see the Leafs go after?

  1. Tangentially related to this- what is the new cap friendly so that I can find said left wingers and chime in?

  2. I’m inclined to see the leafs leave the slot open and work within their prospect pool to be frank. I feel having some extra cash at the deadline or throughout the season can’t hurt us. Especially considering you have some guys in the current lineup who can move up and down the lines, it gives you space to tryout prospects in varying capacities

  3. If we can’t get some semi serviceable veteran to slot into the third line, I’m wondering if we could get Juuso Parssinen (centre but shoots left)or Tomasino (centre but shoots right) from the Preds. Both are serviceable depth scorers on the same sort of trajectory as Robertson.

I do think Robertson is worth more, especially Parssinen so if we can get some draft capital back for the tdl that would be a bonus.

  4. Jason Robertson plus a 3rd for Nicky Bobby. JR is getting up there in age, the Stars probably want to trade him in for the newer model

  5. Please no Pacioretty… he looks like a shell of himself at this point. I’d way rather have a younger guy who is hungry and full of jump rather than a guy who has lost his speed..

  6. Not sure if we can grab one of the Kings wingers but that’d be dope. Like Fiala and Kempe. Maybe Teuvo from CHI? Really wish we just spent on Tarasenko in FA

  7. Robertson will score 30 goals for someone else. You can’t bitch about his defensive skills when we don’t play him strategically to learn those abilities. We bench him when he makes one mistake but then give much younger players less grief. Do we even care about his development? We’ve butchered it big time.
