  1. You know I support the anti-tanking measures in the latest contract but maybe next go around they it could be renegotiated to exempt teams that hit a certain payroll threshold

It kinda sucks they’re stuck with the 10th pick when they clearly weren’t trying to tank the past few years

  2. As a Sox fan…2005. That’s going to tide me over until I die. I’ll be 80 still going “but in 2005…”

  3. I think I’m more eager to see how many losses they can rack up than I care about who’s getting the best record this year. I’ve seen some great teams before, but I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a team this bad.

  4. 11-20 over the last 31 games will “achieve” the most losses ever in a 162-game season

10-21 will “achieve” the second most amount of losses ever (behind only the nigh-untouchable 1899 Cleveland Spiders)

7-24 over the last 31 will “achieve” the second-worst winning percentage of all time (behind only the aforementioned 1899 Cleveland Spiders)

  5. And to think that’s 31 times where fans asked “how the hell did we lose to these guys?”

  6. Folks, keep watching we are watching the worst team in our lifetime. We can tell our kids and grand kids about this and this will probably be a trivia answer for years to come. They will probably lose 125 games at this rate.

  7. Tangent info on why you shouldn’t bet on sports:

If you bet $100 on the ML against the White Sox every game this year, you would be net-down roughly $6.2k on the $13.1k you wagered.

    The books always know.

  8. The Guardians dropping 5 to them this year is a wonderful show of homegrown pride as they try to protect the 1899 Spiders legacy.

  9. They started out 0-4, and have been since then:

    1-9

    2-15

    3-22

    6-26

    12-30

    15-48

    21-61

    27-88

    29-93

    31-100

That’s beginning to end, season long utter non-domination. No flukes here, so random wins sneaking through. This team is every bit as bad as their record and they have worked hard for it.

  10. The only thing I’m taking out of this is that they are 69 games under .500.

  11. We got blown the fuck out by this team. I mean, we won the other 2 of the series, but we still got blown the fuck out by this team.

  12. I did fuck all to deserve this congratulations, but so did everyone else associated with this team, so I humbly accept.

  13. Fun fact… If you take out their two biggest losing streaks of 21 and 14 games, they would still have the worst record in baseball.
