The Calgary Flames YouTube channel posted this video. Jon Abbott, the new Play-by-Play announcer, at some point called some games. This is entirely speculation, but it could have been done as part of the application process and Flames TV is now sharing it.
I like his enthusiasm. He kinda sounds similar to Rick too so it’s not as jarring. I think they made a good pick with this guy, looking forward to hearing him in action
Sounds good, I was worried about the replacement but I am perfectly happy with this.
Rick Ball lite!
He’s not Rick Ball, but I’m confident he’ll do a great job calling the tank-a-thon this year
Oh, I hope he and Kelly like red wine together. If those two men giggle like school girls on air, I’ll be thrilled.
This guy sounds flat as hell. Hopefully he can get a good thing going with Kelly Hrudey but I have my doubts. The greatest disappointment of this season is losing Rick Ball.
