  1. This, the 3rd and 17 scramble, and some of the high velocity throws he made last night showed you that we have a QB with superstar potential here.

The line makes me want to cry but I’m thankful that we finally have a guy with franchise potential again.

  2. What’s great about this play is that he keeps his eyes downfield the entire way. Even though he’s got plenty of room to run, he’s still trying to find a WR first.

  3. That’s a fuckin big boy throw, I don’t even care about the rest. I mean, I do, but I’ve convinced myself it’s all fine

  4. To be honest I’ve come to accept half the O-Line being training dummies at this point. As long as they can knock off the stupid fucking penalties I’ll be happy for this season.

If Maye has to scramble every other play to survive then fine but don’t do shit like this and ruin what should be a serious highlight.

  5. Offensive line was so bad last night missed assignments penalties bumping into each other fumbled snaps

  6. Very few guys make that throw in that spot and have effortless velocity on it. I don’t know if he’ll ever reach it to be clear, but the physical ceiling is there to be one of the few true difference maker elite QBs

  7. Is this the first time these tackles have played football? Why do they keep lining up in the backfield?

  8. I know everyone is hyped about Maye and this throw is nice. But let’s look at the overall play really. Osborn shouldn’t be open, the preseason safety just left him alone. That likely won’t happen much in the regular season, and it ends up in a 2 yard run. If he navigates the pocket, which he can slide up and right, then there is a 15 yard completion to the right.

The run up the middle when everything was covered on the other hand… beautiful.

  9. I’m actually more impressed when he makes a read and throws from the pocket. But these improvised throws when shit breaks down are going to have to be part of his repertoire. Bc let’s face it…shit is gonna break down a lot this year. 🫤

  10. “Nullified” by offensive line is perhaps a misnomer as the play may never have happened without that penalty

  11. Drake has shown flashes of being something really special. I’m super pumped to see how his career unfolds

  12. AND. – the left tackle would have been better off further forward.

I am concerned about this OL shit. They are all out of position, yes… but they are not executing the BASICS. Can’t snap, can’t line up correctly, etc. Lots of mental mistakes.

There were definitely protection lapses but the mental errors were far more concerning.

    “Do your job…”

  13. 7-8 flags on the O line in the first half. we need to fix that issue immediately.

  14. What excites me from the past couple years is when Mac got pushed outside the pocket the play was usually dead. If Maye can create offense outside the pocket like this it’ll help alleviate the strain on the offensive line.
