Maybe the personal issue is what has caused him to lose focus. And control. On the mound that is. Best wishes for Jose.
Why wouldn’t they bring allard up?
Personal issues are just that. Hopefully whatever Jose Alvarado is dealing with in his personal life goes as interference free as any of us would also hope for.

He’s a big man with a big heart (what everyone says about him at least). I hope he fights through whatever he’s dealing with.
This is all assuming he didn’t do something stupid that didn’t come out yet, but I would be pretty shocked

Alverado has been awful since the London Game 2, but a lot of our hitters have been even worse performers since then.
