  1. I dont see it happening, personally.

There is already quite a bit of money tied up to that defense & you’d lose all the flexibility you’ve built (money & draft)

  2. No, no, no.

I am not going to get any bit excited over this because it is not happening.

    ….but imagine if it did

  3. Micah is the type of player I’d be willing to trade a first for. You’d be lucky to get a player half as talented in a given draft.

  4. I don’t think it will be happen. But if it did, what would it take? We gave up 2 firsts for Mack in 2018. Something similar?

  5. Who’s the best edge in the upcoming draft? Pick swap and our extra second to move up and get him?

  6. Would be insane but I don’t see Poles dropping the compensation for him. Doesn’t seem on brand for him.

  7. I just saw a tweet about how the cowboys still needed to spend 20 mil that won’t roll over to next years budget. I feel like MP is going to stay in Dallas and they’ll restructure contracts for Dak.

  8. It makes more sense to keep the picks and trade up in the draft for a top DE lmao. Mack went for 2 1sts and a 3rd Micah might be worth 3 1sts and a new contract. And so far poles has been smart with his money

  9. I honestly think it would be a bad move for you guys since you are not in a window and caleb has to actually prove himself a franchise qb before a trade like this becomes worth it. Your offensive line is also still not that good. HOWEVER… it would be exciting if it did happen and you guys would probably win a lot of games. I always want the most exciting option to happen when rumours get leaked unless I hate a potential beneficiary, which I dont in this case.

  10. This is a move you make when you’re only a piece away from Super Bowl. If we were In year two with Caleb and made playoffs, similar to the Texans rn, I’d say make the move. Otherwise stick away as it ruins the flexibility we currently have

  11. Reporting from deep in Cowboys territory, I can assure you that Jerry will get something done. He’s old and in win-now mode, and is a master at working the salary cap. But, I’m sure he’d listen to offers. I’d throw two firsts at him, Parsons is a monster.

  12. I’ve seen this movie before.

And we have potentially 3 holes on the offensive line next year if Jenkins walks, Davis is cut, and our makeshift center solutions don’t pan out this year. It would be nice to have draft picks and financial flexibility to continue to invest around Caleb and the offense going forward.

  13. 5 years / 140,817,950 is his current market value according to Spotrac. Do with that info what you will…

  14. Wow what a take. QB wants top defensive player on his team. I’m sure every single team would like 1 Micah Paraons.

  15. Our first this and next year would likely be in the mid-20s. And we still have the Panthers #2 this year which is likely top 5.

From a value standpoint definitely worth it for a player of his caliber and age… But then the Bears would have to pay him at which point 20% of the cap is tied up on 2 edge rushers, seems foolish considering our o line depth.

  16. Please no. We aren’t going to get him for anything less than a couple firsts. I don’t wanna repeat the Mack mistake

  17. Can we please see Caleb play in at least 1 regular season game before we trade away a load of draft picks for a SB run? As much as I loved watching Mack, the loss of capital was a net negative for the team. It just doesn’t look that way because the Raiders drafted like shit. I get Parsons is a unicorn, but its easier to create that value in the aggregate

  18. I literally can not see a scenario where it would even happen this season. However, I do think the cowboys are gonna miss the playoffs and are gonna end up having to choose between him and Dak next offseaso. So technically there would be a chance then, but ngl even then I think they move off Dak.

  19. It’s a nice Pipe Dream but it ain’t happening, not in this lifetime ❗🤷🏾

  20. There are too many good pass-rush prospects in next year’s draft, and they might have something with Booker. I also don’t see the Cowboys parting ways with Parsons unless the wheels come off before the trade deadline.

  21. He’s not a scheme fit. And before you downvote me, yeah of course he would be a positive addition if you dropped him on the bears roster, but the scheme mismatch makes it less likely that he ends up here

  22. Would cost entirely too much for me to ever want to do it, but let’s not pretend we wouldn’t all be hyped as fuck if it happened lol

  23. As a Cowboys fan, living in Chicago, I second this. I’m done with Dallas this season. Bear Down!

  24. Parsons would probably be too expensive in my opinion. He’d cost 2 firsts AND a top dollar extension. Idk man. It would fill a hole we have but maaaan we’d be giving up a lot of future potential for him.

  25. as great of a player he is, I wouldn’t want that much capital used on one player, especially since we have a rookie qb that we can still build around

  26. not the right player (a bit small to be a 4-3 DE) and definitely not the right price (1 bazillion dollars)

there are a lot of 4-3 ends much cheaper id rather have. or a premier DT

  27. With the Mack trade in hindsight, it would be completely moronic to splurge on Parsons when we don’t even know if Caleb can handle the pressure nor if Poles is a fool for not even interviewing Harbaugh..

  28. MAYBE in 2 years when you’re staring at the structurally most valuable contract years of Caleb, you know your defense is good and you staring at a Super Bowl.

Maybe. Even then. I’m not sure poles is the trade 2 1s + historic pay day type of guy
