3. I wonder what's going to happen first: Blue Jays win World Series ending Canada's World Series drought or a Canadian NHL team winning the Stanley Cup? Also given how hockey is Canada's national sport it can be said that only a minority of Canadians are baseball fans as the majority of Canadians would rather have their Canadian NHL team hoist Lord Stanley than to have the Blue Jays win the Fall Classic.

4. Last time Canada Won the Stanley Cup was in 1993 which was also the same year Canada last won the World Series as well, but the focus is always on Canada winning and ending the Stanley Cup drought in the NHL rather than on the Blue Jays ending Canada's World Series drought in baseball.

6. I'd just love to see this Jay's team have a winning season. Not what they may have wanted coming into it, but something positive heading into next year. They have the talent to do so.

11. Looked like the Sox were playing defense on a sheet of ice with a scorching hot baseball and bad vision. Jays' defense has been great all year – it's been the bats and, to a lesser extent, the pitching, that caused the sub-500 record to date. Great time for the Jays to go on a streak when they're out of the playoff picture. Still, good to get the youngsters a lot of playing time. Will be tested against better opposition as the last month plays out.

18. There's 2 big problems Boston needs to fix start winning at Fenway, and the bullpen. Last 5 games at Fenway have all been losses for Boston.
