[Highlight] Umpire calls what might be the worst strike ever

Bro just wants to go home
the umpire scorecard tomorrow morning will reveal DISGUSTING levels of bias!
Pumpkin Power!
Little League coaches everywhere punching the air as they say “if your bat can reach it, it’s a strike.”
Huge fan of the fireworks show in the bottom of the 9th when a home run brought the Pirates to within 10.
I want Jomboy to lip read this convo between Wisdom and the ump, I bet it’s hilarious
ball took so long to get to the plate the umpire’s eyes started to water and he had to blink and then missed it
Angel Hernandez is absolutely livid that even he didn’t have the gall to make a strike call that atrocious.
surprised wisdom didnt get ejected there
I swear it looks like the catcher is laughing.
In their defense it was framed *really* well
There’s no walking in slowpitch. Swing the bat.
the circle shown on the broadcast was brutally off too. system doesn’t know what to do with a pitch that slow lol
When did Angel Hernandez come out of retirement?
He just wants to go home
This is the kind of pitch we would call as little league umpires when the pitcher had already walked 6 batters straight
reminds me of the little league clip where it slips out of the pitchers hand and rolls toward the dugout but the batter took a practice swing as it rolled so the ump called it a strike lmfao
gotta keep the batters on their toes
“You can overcome a bad outcome on the field with a good experience in the ballpark, but you can’t overcome a bad experience in the ballpark with a good outcome on the field.”
— Pirates president Travis Williams
And the crowd goes Rowdy!!!
Lol even the ump wants to go home already
When the DH is pitching, everything that doesn’t bounce is a stroke.
Ump was like “bro you took a hanging 45mph lollipop, don’t care where it ended up, that’s a strike”
First of all. It’s not as high as it looks due to the speed. Just crazy outside lol
That hesitation when the catcher is throwing back the ball as soon as the ump made the call is hilarious 😂
Cubs up by 10, ump bringing in LL strike zone
For context (and not trying to say it was justified, just want to understand), what was the score at this point?
Have you ever umped little league and known you have to expand the zone?
“Buddy it’s 18-6, the pitcher could spike it and if it rolls to the catcher’s mitt, I’m calling it a strike”
Remember, the strike zone goes all the way through the back of the plate. Some chance that the ball caught it towards the end — going so slow that it could have dropped a long way from front of plate to back.
Rowdy Tellez was a career 0.00 ERA pitcher going into tonight. You pitch like that, you’re gonna get the benefit of the doubt on some calls.
That’s the let’s go home damn it
That’s a I wanna go home call
Good position player pitching is horrendous and the game should end asap
“This game’s over. Dammit, It’s been over for a while now. I don’t care if that was a throw to 1st, I was still going to call it a strike. Let’s wrap this up and go home.” – The ump
It’s ok. Umpires are allowed to be dogshit bad. He’s got more important things to do after this game.
ump said, “don’t slam your helmet”
Is this because Patrick slammed his helmet down the day before?
See? Even the umps want to be replaced by robots.
I don’t understand the popularity of position pitching – if they are trying to preserve their pitchers, a team can just forfeit the game instead of this embarrassing display.
I honestly don’t mind this call. Swing the bat at that point the game already becomes a joke when a position player pitches
