  2. this is such a great quote from his former coach. proof that if he puts his mind to it he can achieve greatness in montreal

  3. For real, if Laine can get comfortable, and find a way to consistently tie all of his strengths together then this is a massive addition for us.

At his best, Laine isn’t just a one dimensional sniper. He can be a mean power forward with some great playmaking abilities as well. At his worst, he has the nastiest wrist shot in the league…

We’re in for a treat, and I am happy.

  4. I’m happy that there will be a lot more Laine news again from now on, that he got out of one of the hockey purgatory teams with no media.

Just have to get some good translator apps so dont miss on about 50% of the content t_t

  5. I’ve seen a lot of speculation that all of this hype from one of the biggest markets in the league will be terrible for him fresh off being in the players assistance program for mental health. I think there’s a good chance it will be the exact opposite, though. He played the best hockey of his career earlier on when he had a huge media spotlight on him and his rivalry with matthews. It wasn’t until he had already cooled off and went to play in hockey nonmans land that things went south for him. Being in the spotlight again could be a great motivator for him.
