After his last two innings, I can’t say I’m too broken up over this.
Ashby has looked downright dominant the last couple of weeks in a bullpen role. In his most recent outing he touched 98 multiple times. First time all year he had touched 98.
Here are some numbers of his since 8/10.

Mears was absolutely solid before his last 2 appearances, hopefully this can get him right. Surprised to not see DL Hall come back up but I can’t remember if he got injured again. Hopefully Ashby can impress!
Ashby has been excellent since going to the bullpen (he was hot garbage as a starter) so this is fine
Another bs use of the IL by the Brewers.
Translation. They put Mears on the shelf with suckitis to bring up Ashby who’s been pitching well. Mears will give Hoby Milner company as they both can recover from their “suckitis” together.
