ya know how if you (are able to) sit close to the dugout you constantly hear bitching at the ump from whichever team you’re close to. does this happen on games like this to? are players/coaches constantly trying to wear down the ump to get a call?
I don’t need accuracy, I need CONSISTENCY and this guy is average in that department smh

Wolcott and Hoberg are the 2 best umps in Baseball (still really curious to find out what happened with Hoberg)
They need to teach all the minor league umpires how to call games
Props to this guy, nice to see
I didn’t even think about the ump yesterday, which is always a good sign.
We always roast the umps who blow it, we should celebrate the ones who do a great job. I’ll have to reverse heckle him if I see him live

I thoroughly enjoyed watching the game because the ump was making the right calls. There were a few pitches that I could see any other ump call wrong just because, this man knew the strike zone!
I actually really enjoy seeing a well-umped game. Nice job Wooly.
Wow +.05 runs for the Padres? Umps really deciding games out here

Good job Quinn!
Score should been 7 – 4.05
A breath of fresh air after the disastrous umps in the Mets series.
Dunno how we’re supposed to win with the scales tipped this heavily against us smh
Holy shit
Good umps deserve to be recognized just as much as the bad ones.
Rigged for SD.
Dude was on it. I recall marveling during the game at his near-perfection. Even the one missed call was just outside.
What did that one pitch look like?
But was that one pitch impactful? Or it was deemed impactful by default as it’s the only one?
He won!!!
Nice.
What a game. Great job Quinn!
Of course the one ball called strike was to Nootbar. I swear he is leading in that stat now.
Attaboy, Quinn
cb bucknor would miss more calls in just 2 pitches
Must have blinked there.
The consistency makes no sense on this. He called accurate pitches, but because it wasn’t in the scorecard’s hallucinated EUZ it lowers the score.
This guy’s wasting his talent, we need him examining satellite images over Iran and North Korea.
Rigged for the Padres to win smh /s
Could have sworn there was another pitch quite low and outside that also went Vasquez’ way but regardless Wolcott was great yesterday
So we just suck? There’s no one outside of the organization to blame?
[I wouldn’t worry about that little guy. ](https://youtu.be/NKWplN5sA14?si=KmY4M8zS-PQVjuVo)
