  1. Important notes:

Lloyd and E. Wilson on the 53

Dillon to IR – done for year (not designated to return)

    Melton makes it

    DuBose released

Tyler Davis to IR – done for year

    Dillard makes it

Brenton Cox & Arron Mosby make it

Jonthan Ford IR Designated to Return

Robert Rochell & Kalen King released

    Zayne Anderson makes it

    Anthony Johnson Jr released

    Greg Joseph makes it

  2. Don’t like a lot of these moves tbh, although it won’t make much of a difference in the long run.

  3. I’m surprised to see King and Rochell gone. Shocked to see Zayne Anderson over Anthony Johnson as well. And I definitely didn’t expect Dillon to be out for the year.

  4. Kalen King, Anthony Johnson Jr, and AJ Dillon probably getting an injury settlement is unexpected to me. Arron Mosby and Brenton Cox in as well is surprising

Edit : Cox and Mosby both* in is surprising

  5. Why post the Twitter link when you could post the Packers.com link? Don’t need to give that site traffic

  6. 6 WRs with Heath and Melton rounding out the group. DuBose should land on the PS

Davis and Dillon both on season ending IR, no return designations. Gotta imagine they’re both done in Green Bay

Kalen King and Anthony Johnson both released. I really liked them, should be Practice Squad candidates

Zayne “I exist!” Anderson makes the initial 53! Great Special Teamer and has shown growth in the secondary

  7. You gotta feel for AJ… sucks but it is what it is. Hopefully this means Lloyd is ready to go.

  8. Genuinely confused why Zayne Anderson gets the nod over Anthony Johnson Jr. I realize he plays more special teams but AJJ seemed like he was making good progress

  9. Some head scratchers for sure but there was tons of competition on the fringe, so that’s to be expected. I’m surprised Anderson made it over Johnson Jr. Sad for Dubose, Welch, and King. There will be more tough choices to make as people return from injury.

  10. Anthony Johnson Jr not making it is shocking. Have X and 3 rookies now, with Oladapo having to make up a lot of missed time due to the foot injury. AJJ also had a strong camp and preseason so even more surprising.

Going 6 deep at DE is also surprising, I didn’t expect both of Cox and Mosby to make it.

  11. I do not think they are going to be able to stash king on the practice squad

  12. I’m a bit surprised they went with 5 corners, cutting King. I wonder if he’ll stick around on practice squad, they must have a lot of faith in Jaire and Stokes outside, with Bullard potentially being a permanent slot

  13. AJ being done for the year seems pretty shocking based on how he was talking about it. I figured he would make the 53 and Lloyd was be IR-return. Mildly surprised Anderson over Johnson as the final safety. That missed chip shot on Saturday is probably what cost Carlson the kicking job.

  14. So can someone who’s smarter than me explain the Dillon and Davis to IR but didn’t get the return designation? What exactly does this mean? They won’t play this year, won’t count as a roster spot, receive full salary and in theory Packers have their rights for next seasons training camp?

  15. Joseph is reallly weird….. he won the kicking battle?? Per my understanding, he’s a vested veteran and his salary is now fully guaranteed?? Please correct me if I’m wrong (god I hope I am)

  16. Marshawn Lloyd is a shocker. That report earlier today was wrong. He didn’t get sent to IR and is eligible to play in the first 4 weeks.

  17. Lewis Cine got cut by the Vikings. Wonder if we’d take him over Zayne and expand our Georgia Dawg family.

  18. DuBose, King, Welch and Pratt not making the 53 definitely hurts, also apparently Bowden didn’t even make it to the cuts which is interesting.

Doubt King and Welch don’t get picked up by anyone.

  19. Shocking to see Zayne Anderson over AJJ and it’s nice that both Cox and Mosby made it.

  20. Damn, really upset about AJ Dillon. I hope it works out for him in the end, not sure what team will sign him next season. Such a good guy to have on the team. Having lost both Aaron Jones and Dillon seems like the end of an era.
