Bruins’ Jeremy Swayman Has New Rumored Asking Price

According to WEEI's Rich Keefe, Swayman is seeking $10 million per season for his next deal. Here is exactly what Keefe said on the matter: "Jeremy Swayman, looking for $10 million a year. That is the scoop that I have. He is looking for $10 million a year… So, I think a lot of the speculation was if he gets to eight [million dollars], that makes him the sixth-highest-paid goalie. But from what I'm led to believe, he would like $10 million per year."

  1. He is probably worth that now that he’s the main guy in Boston but there’s no way they can win a cup with him at $10M. I’m really curious how they charm him into a cheap deal like they always seem to do with star players.

  2. This report has already been shut down by better reporters than a Boston radio guy. And on top of that it just doesn’t pass the smell test at all

  3. Gotta love when a something absurd comes out from someone you’ve never heard of. Must be a “nhltradetumors” level reporter

  4. Whether true or not, it does raise the question of whether it was wise to trade Ullmark before resigning Swayman.

Swayman has a lot more leverage today than he did in June.

  5. Vasy doesn’t even get that much with 2 cups and a vezina, I know he signed a couple years ago but you need to have a better track record than a couple good seasons being in a 1A/1B role. I love the guy and hope the bruins can sign him for a good deal that works for both parties but 10 mil is outrageous for him.
