1. Just played golf in Montreal and Owen Power was playing ahead of us lol

2. Tage needs have a 100+ point season for this team to make the postseason… But Lindy Ruff sucks so it ain't happening.

4. Not a Sabres fan and I'm selfishly rooting against them to get my Habs into the playoffs, but they have to reach the playoffs at some point. Those fans deserve at least a series. At least the Bills are good right now.

6. I’m not a believer in this core, they don’t have any elite/franchise level players up front you need to win a cup, just a bunch of top 6 players

9. Listened to this while in the shower. I involuntarily shouted, "Chad Johnson?!" when I heard his name. Ullmark being no. 1 in wins since 2014-15 with 50 is sad.

10. Buffalo needs 2 key pieces to get into the playoffs. 1.) a top 6 forward to replace Skinners goals/assists (and chemistry) which never gets evaluated. He helped Thompson a lot with a constant stream of feeding him the puck.
    2.) you said it best Shannon, a veteran defender who has playoff experience (possibly RHD?) we have talent but only Sammy is a shutdown guy. Also we must stay healthy! Injuries killed us and the bench/callous were not enough.
    Lindy will be a breath of fresh air and hopefully has enough fire left to get these boys to believe in themselves and in each other! Go Sabres!

11. I think this group have improved a lot overall. Way better coach, better bottom 6 and pretty stacked top 4 D with Dahlin, Power, Byram and Samuelsson. UPL is their guy for years to come, similar to when Ullmark was there before they gave him up lol. However, i think the rest of the Eastern Conference is too stacked and they will just miss out

12. I will say that Buffalo will definitely be better than Red Wings, Sens and Habs

14. i'd be really surprised if this team wasn't 7-8th in the division this year

17. I’m cautiously optimistic as usual. The bottom 6 is now significantly more gritty and faster, which was a huge problem with the team last year.

    Our top 6 is slightly weaker without Jeff Skinner, but Zach Benson could take a considerable step forward so it remains to be seen if this team is able to match or get close to its 22-23 offensive levels.

    Defensively, the team will likely continue to improve as the players mature.

    A full year of UPL the way he played the second half of the season will help the team get off to a better start of the season.

    The prospect core is still outstanding, and several players like Kulich and Rosen should be able to fill in on the roster if necessary.

    Ruff is a solid coach and will probably help the team get off to better starts in each game, which might have one the Sabres enough games to sneak into a wildcard spot last year.

    Honestly, I have no clue how this team is going to play, and it’s kinda exciting.

18. I think Buffalo makes the playoffs this year. They could use another top 6 forward

19. I really REALLY hope we make the playoffs. I want to see it because it's been so long for myself and other fans that have stuck around, but I feel terrible for all the younger fans that have never seen Buffalo make it. They have no idea what it's like and how much air it breathes into the WNY.

20. 3 goalies did not benefit Buffalo. As soon as they went with 2, UPL broke out. He got a bigger share of shots at practice. Instead of breaking them 3 ways, it was just split in half.

    Keep Levi in Rochester. The best way to develop is to play!!

21. I appreciate all the season previews Shannon but I don't understand the point of telling us about the stat leaders over the last 10 years.
