The Seattle Seahawks’ 53-man roster is set after Mike Macdonald and John Schenider made their initial Seahawks roster cuts today. It’s no surprise that players like Geno Smith, Tyler Lockett, DK Metcalf, Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Devon Witherspoon made the roster. The NFL cut deadline was Tuesday, August 27th at 4pm ET. The Seahawks had plenty of roster cuts to make and although many of the cuts today will end up on the Seahawks practice squad, it is difficult trimming the roster down to 53 players.

Seattle Seahawks roster cuts included a few surprise moves. Some of the more notable Seahawks roster bubble candidates who did not make the cut include: Dee Eskridge, Easop Winston Jr., Willie Roberts, Jamie Sheriff, George Holani, P.J. Walker and more.

  6. now they cut my other favorite player Rhattigan I am really unhappy unhappy enough that I may not watch any game that is not conviennt to do so or I think another game at the same time is better

  18. What the hell do I know, but the team seems short one running back. With the kind of running that the Seahawks require, there are bound to be injuries and three backs, though they are very good isn't going to make it. And some team is going to have a great TE receiver in Jack W. He is an great TE receiver for third down and long yardage and for full on passing downs. How many sturdy blocking TE's do we need anyway? Overall the 53 man roster makes sense, though. And yes, i know that there will be adjustments between now and the first game.
