And Forbes is on thin ice. He’s staying because he was a former 1st rounder and because we don’t have a loaded CB room. I doubt very seriously if he fits what Quinn and Whitt are looking for.
This statistic is truly amazing. I know making a roster in the NFL is difficult. But, if coaches cant recognize talent any better than Ron and his staff, then the person who lets them be in charge of personel is incompetent too. (Dan)
Without Ron we probably wouldn’t have been able to get Daniels so I try to look at it with a half glass full approach haha.
This generally happens when new coaches and GMs arrive. It plainly means they don’t fit what the new regime wants. A more telling indictment would be if those players are immediately out of the league.
Didn’t the Colts do this with their 2024 Draft?
We are all familiar with how inept and dysfunctional this franchise was under Dan Snyder.
But did anyone predict just how bad it would get at the end? How did Ron Rivera turn out to be the absolute worst coach, on the field, on the sidelines, and worst roster builder and talent evaluator?
I love this chopping block approach. Gone are the times when underperforming players feel secure with a place on the team.
How many posts about the same thing are appropriate?
I really don’t care how this sounds but I’ve never been delusional enough to this I could play any sort of position anywhere on a NFL field nor do I have the coaching/schematic/leadership qualities to be any type of coach in the NFL but I am 100% confident in the fact that I could “scout” and draft quality players. At the very least top 4 rounds type of prospects. They literally stand out from the rest and almost make it easy. I think GMs/Coaches let their egos get in the way and convince themselves they can make the player that everyone thinks is overrated work.
I mean hell, the general belief in this sub was that we should have drafted JOK, Christian Gonzalez, Olave/Kyle Hamilton how we whiffed on every single player is beyond me.
it’s not so much that the players are cut. (still not a good look) but if those guys end up out of the league in a few years especially the first rounders or end up being 3rd/4th stringers on other teams.
