  1. These guys think it’s gonna be way closer than it’s gonna be. Rams are missing key players. We’re winning this by two scores

  2. not being the underdog is going to take some getting used to, but i still dont think we should discount the challenge that the Rams present. theyre a good ball club, and itll likely be a close one even so. cant wait to kick off the season with a bang, lets bring home a week 1 dub! ONE PRIDE TIL I DIE

  3. And MJD only picks the rams because it’s one of his favorite teams, if he set his bias aside I’m sure he’d pick us too

  4. I think our offense is a horrible matchup for their defense. They were already thin at ILB before trading their defensive captain and opting to start an undrafted rookie instead. Now, that position is a huge weakness in their defense. Also, Aaron Donald is gone. They have a pretty weak secondary as well. Ben Johnson is going to really attack the LBs with crossing routes, quick throws to the flats, and zone runs where Gibbs is out in space.

As far as their offense goes, they have good WR’s and RBs, but Higbe is still out, and they are going to be starting at least 2, maybe 3 backup O lineman. They still have Stafford, so he’s going to find a way to move the ball effectively.

Parlay all of that with it being a sold-out Home opener and Goff being cold-blooded in prime time, and I think we win pretty decisively, not a blow out, but I think we will control the whole game. Lions win 31-21.

  5. Should be a great game either way. I’m excited to see the new look secondary, and hopefully Jamo’s progression. If we can just be as good on offense as last year, while getting even 10% better on defense.. we fuckin go 19-0 man.

  6. I think this is a difficult game to have in week 1. I know a lot of people don’t agree, but I think it’s going to be just as close as these score predictions say.

  7. Yea, this is weird. I’m not sure I’ll ever be comfortable with being the favorite, but now’s the time to embrace it.

  8. I don’t really know why anyone feels good about this game. Nacua clowned us for 181 yards in the playoffs last year, and our DB room has missed a ton of camp/preseason action due to injuries. Expect a ton of blown coverages and huge gainers from Stafford. Maybe we win in a shootout, but if our offense doesn’t put up 35+ we are starting 0-1.

  9. It sucks that we have the late night game on Sunday. That is a lot of waiting around for kickoff.

  10. 31-17 Lions. Rams get a late score but never come close. They can’t run on us and Stafford will throw two picks while under pressure. Rams got worse since last season and we’ve gotten better. If we lose it’s going to be us beating ourselves. Rams will look better in a few weeks but they’re down Donald, two starting tackles and their QB gets crazy sometimes. Plus it’s week one which is always a little sloppy.

Imagine if *we* were missing our starting tackles going up against a guy like Hutch. We’d be shitting enough bricks to repave half of Detroit.

  11. Mmw closer to 30-10 game where we just dominate in the trenches because that’s apparently what Detroit does nowadays… I’m still not used to competent fo.

  12. We still gotta go out and prove to everyone why we deserves our respect.

Last year doesn’t matter. This year does. And the expectations is for our team to prove that we are legit.

  13. Honestly it’s a toss up. It’s an entirely new secondary. There’s going to be a lot of blown coverages not only in this game but in the first 3-4 games because teams just need to mold. If we win I’ll be happy, if we lose I’ll be a little bummed but it’s a 17 game season!

  14. Kinda worries me that there’s confidence in the Lions. These are the same people that picked the Rams to beat the Lions in the playoffs last year.

  15. Yall are a little too confident considering Stafford is most likely going to tear up our secondary. Gonna be a shootout
