  2. It definitely was a good decision but time will tell if the rebuild was successful. We still don’t know how good the Demidov, Reinbacher, Hutson and co will be

  3. I don’t make a habit of thanking billionaires, but Molson really deserves a lot of credit for allowing a down to the studs rebuild. This team is so popular and has such a strong fan base, he could easily have coasted on another decade of mediocrity and made the same amount – maybe even a little more – money. I’m glad he’s showing a commitment to quality. Even if we don’t win a Cup out of this, we’ve got an era of fun, sunshiney hockey to watch.

  4. Have you noticed they’re still advertising tickets for the rookie showcase which are $10 each? The attention just isn’t the same and they’ve probably taken a big monetary hit which the league is probably not happy with since one of their 3 cash cows isn’t giving as much milk. Next summer will be the telling one if the season disappoints.

  5. If you watched the teaser for the Rebuilt show on Crave, you can hear him say: I’m the only member of the Molson family who hasn’t won the Stanley Cup.

  7. Laine trade changes everything.

as long as him and Dach stay healthy we have a top 6 that can go up against any of the bottom 4 playoff teams. Bottom 6 on one hand is overpaid, but solid. Only thing missing is some toughness but its not as important in the NHL these days

With Laine in the fold the time to start competiting is now. I am not expectng a cup, maybe not even playoffs but we need to be close this year and actually getting there next year.

  8. One of the more embarrassing quotes I’ve ever seen or heard and it comes from our favorite team’s CEO 🙁it looks like he was the problem the whole time, not Bergevin or anyone else
