  1. I remember one wild comeback in 98 the cubs were down 10-2 against the brewers that was the day sosa hit his 60th and they came back and won 15-12 on a orlando merced walk off home run and the next day they won another wild one.

  2. Hendricks is not the same. His changeup is way worse. He got incredible drop on that pitch in his good years. Now its more horizontal. May not seem like much but it is cuz that's his swing & miss pitch

  3. I turned off the game in frustration at 10-3 only to be shocked when my curiosity got the better of me and I tuned in to that 9th inning 😮

  4. Hendricks has absolutely 0 room for error with his command which is virtually impossible. He was hanging his changeup and 2 seamer from the first pitch. Also, even though they're winning these games the defensive miscues are very glaring. That and hitting with runners in scoring position needs to get way better if they want to contend

  5. Just want to say, you guys are one of the best sports podcast I have ever seen. Everything is so well done, passionate, and professional and I look forward to these uploads every time. Love yall guys. Go Cubs

  6. Boy what a game ,Amaya,PCA hott ,Benthacourt pretty good catcher ,we might not have to waste on a catcher.1 1 Minnesota. My heart this year was in fibulation all yr and we thought in July the rest of the yr gonna be sad but look at these heart attack boys can we make it ,I don't think the other 3 teams on fire ,but this season who knows love you guys have a great rest of the night.

  7. WHY the hell is Kyle still a starter?
CC needs to use him as a 7th inning low leverage BP guy.
Let homie finish his career with a little dignity. Not embarrassing himself like the last 3 years.
If it wasn’t for the fact that the bats came alive KH would have been on line for his 12th loss this season.
I mean the guy is 13-24 since the start of the’22 season with an ERA of north of 5.50.
It’s time to retire. In the BP.

  8. If the Braves or Brewers go on a big skid, which has certainly happened down the stretch before… If the Cubs start believing and PCA plays like H.O.F. PCA, than anything is possible 👍

  9. I've been enjoying the hell outta these games the past few weeks.

Though I still have a ton of concern Hoyer is going to run it back with a couple middling additions to the pitching for 2025. I know the offense is on fire right now but for Hoyer to think they could perform like this for a full season would be a massive mistake on his part.

  10. Its weird guys. We are watching Amaya and Bethancourt basically turn into the best tandem in baseball for well over a month now. I just wonder if we still go after a name C in the offseason. Another scary thing is the Closer situation. I mean what if Lopez / Hodge go 10/11 down the stretch in Save Opps. Personally if we dont get a sure thing , im for sticking within. Ive heard Jansen , Holmes, etc. To me they arent sure things. Bednar is a good example of how it can go for a closer. Sure a good arm is still probably needed. Great sweep.

    Dont sleep on the Nats.
