  1. Not a surprise, he’s always been vocal about doing whats best for himself. And this contract sets him and his family up nicely especially since he’s having another kid. Well deserved.

  2. Good. Hopefully this will put a stop to all of the “Curry to the Lakers” rumors…probably not though.

  3. So we get three more seasons of Steph. He probably retires after this. What a privilege it’s been to watch him play.

  4. So glad that Steph seems committed to retiring a Warrior. Even if he left he would be on the Bay Area Mount Rushmore, but staying his whole career? Way, way better.

  5. Great news. Hopefully means he and the FO are on the same page about the plan going forward.

  6. Coming from a Suns fan, I hope he stays in Golden State. It would be so weird to see him playing in a different jersey. I don’t want to see a Dwyane Wade stint for Curry. I hope he ends his career building up the next era of the Warriors, similar to what Wade did in Miami(bringing in Jimmy Butler) and maybe even being a contributer to a contender his last couple seasons if the Warriors Front Office continues building one.

  7. LET’S GO!! Glad we don’t need to hear reporters ask about an extension after every game now

  8. I think this was a mistake on Steph’s part to sign this now. Not saying he should ever leave. I just would have like to see him keep the door open only to keep the pressure on the organization to try there hardest get better.

I feel like In any relationship personal or business when you know the other half is not going anywhere you stop putting in the extra effort. I want the warriors to make every effort to surround Steph with a championship caliber team.

  9. I told y’all that Steph will not retire a Warrior.

He could have signed a longer term deal.

This tells you that is not set in stone.

If they cannot give him a team that allows him compete, then I assure you he will bounce to where he can compete and win a 5th and possibly FMVP.

  10. Dope! They said they weren’t gonna discuss contracts with him for a long time so I’m surprised it happened this soon!

  11. Steph can play as long as he can shoot, even if he loses his athleticism, he will still have a contract lined up.

  12. Congrats, but how does this impact roster construction? are we going to have enough to sign anybody else on the team?
