I honestly don’t think any Giants fans are looking at Nabers to save the career of Daniel Jones. I think most fans are done with Jones and look at Nabers as a potential building block for this offense. I mean who were the Giants gonna draft other than Nabers when the Patriots legit were getting offers and shot them down from every team. I think you building something in your head that isn’t there brotha.
I have a big issue with this because nabers has not played in single snap in the NFL yet and on the flip side if the Giants had Cedee Lamb who is on path to the HOF it would not be as shocking

The organization has no balls. Now they’re trying to placate younger generations to seem cool. Nabers should be happy with any number. Why not give him a number over 100? Why is it so cool to have a low number? Give him 187 or 793. How do you unretire a number for a guy who never played a down? Are we going to unretire 56 now?
Dude your complaining about someone else’s number your not wearing is laughable af…. The giants have many good numbers retired nd now at least I know who Ray Flatery is now thanks to his family’s giving there blessing… I rather my players feeling good in a number they like and playin good… Eli, Taylor, sims, micheal stra jerseys will never be unretired nd those resonate more with NYG ….

Honestly im ok with this. His number was retired 89 years ago, and outside of a small group of devote Gaints fans I dont think many even know who Ray Flahrety is. This move will bring that man's name back into the spot light. I just hope Nabers does it justice.
