  1. I haven’t compared to other teams around the league so it might be the norm, but I think our defence will be hard to play against next season.

    Other than maybe Barron or Hutson, you’ve got Xhekaj, Guhle, Struble who all play a physical game, as well as Savard and Matheson who both don’t shy away from contact and are willing to get physical if needed. You could even add Mailloux if he beats out Barron.

  2. Defending against top NHL players comes with experience. While the first sentence in the article says the majority of the spolight has been on offence, management clearly understands that defence is going to take time and has been a priority since taking over.
