Man if Drysdale can live up to his potential even a bit this year that D lineup is actually looking really solid. Winger depth looks amazing. Centers and goalies are gonna make for a looooong up and down season though. I’m excited. We’ll probably end up same as last year but lower in the standings since the metro had a lot of improvements. If this year is just as exciting but we pick top 5 I’ll be pumped.
I don’t take many Flyer predictions overly serious this year. I don’t fault anyone for immediately writing them off with Ersson/Fedotov in net & so many young players in big spots (& they might be right too!)
But many won’t look past Ersson’s stats when he was rather good most of the yr before gassing out because of Hart SSPD & lack of a backup. Fedotov tho complete wildcard. York, Seeler are also a lot better than most non Flyer fans/ppl who watch them alot will know.
And up front not sure folks know how good Foerster is quite yet, or that this team has some legitimately great winger depth that has potential to have up to five 20+ goal scorers (TK, Tippett, Michkov, Foerster & Farabee) & I think at least two hit 30G.
But like them I’m predicting & that can go horribly wrong fast haha.
