  1. Games like this make me wish that you could assign losses to the offense. Wilson deserved better than what the bats gave him.

  2. Win a 4 game series and still lose ground in the division lead, that’s rough lol. Oh well, still have the largest lead in the league. No way the Cubs keep this level of play up for another month.

  3. Bryse did the pen a solid. This lose is not on him. Not his fault the bats couldn’t score more than 3 runs. No biggie, but it sucks!

  4. Shout out Wilson you don’t deserve the loss your services today will help us tomorrow. Sucks we have to be fucking perfect for our ground to stay. Nationals are fucking useless, so hopefully Braves can help us out again and the DBacks for once.

  5. Ugh. Really wanted the 4 game sweep but 3-1 is fine too I guess. Really need Atlanta to beat down on Philly today. Also fucking Nats

  6. Dodgers and Phillies in line for sweeps. We’re likely gonna lose ground in this series and everyone wants to be like “can’t be unhappy with 3 out of 4” which is true in a vacuum but every day you have to be at your best in a tight September race. And going 14 up 14 down to end the game is one issue but we were still well in line to win/extend this game but we:

    – Didn’t pull Myers in a tie game despite him obviously not being at his best. India had 3 rockets in a row and you leave Myers in to face him for a 4th time?? Why??

    – Staying away from Megill and Hudson, two huge strikeout guys, to hold the auto runner… in favor of 19th percentile K rate guy Wilson (who lost on two grounders). Why??

    – Didn’t challenge a super close play at first base, in the 10th inning of a tie game when crew chief review was in play even if we lost this challenge. AND when Reds’ pitching was in a ridiculous groove.

    – Contreras was out on the play above because he didn’t fully run out his grounder, and was then out by a tiny fraction of a second he absolutely would have made up had he just bothered to run out the fucking ball in the 10th inning of a tie game

Beat ourselves today, and these decisions were all just really dumb. Like we were trying to lose, like we were content with 3-1 and would rather just save guys for tomorrow (when we ALREADY saved everyone yesterday and in game 2 of the doubleheader, AND have options and can bring up Elvis for Hicklen or whatever if we somehow get too tired even with expanded rosters).

Not happy with this one at all. Can’t be content to just lose one game to save the bullpen or whatever. Felt like we completely mentally gave up, and we’re gonna lose ground because of it.
