  1. “The White Sox have just gone full White Sox” is such a disrespectful, yet accurate call lol

  2. Eloy being the hitter has got to be salt in the wound. Assuming White Sox fans even feel pain at this point.

  3. At some point the actual players on the field should be taking some of the heat, right? I’m getting second hand embarrassment

  4. It looked scary as hell live. Tbh it almost happened in center in the first. What’s so hard about saying and hearing “I got it?”

  5. Of course this is the one Sox game I decide to watch. “Hmm I wonder if they’re actually THAT bad?”

  6. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone have worse communication skills fielding a baseball then Miguel Vargas. I feel for the dude getting hurt but that was just awful and is nothing new.

  7. lol Eloy popping it up is the cherry on top to this play.

This season is really testing my love for baseball, make this season end already please

  8. I’m having an increasingly difficult time wrapping my mind around just how bad this Whits Sox team is. We’ve had some awful teams in the league in recent years, but I legitimately didn’t think we’d ever seen even an *expansion* team this bad, let alone a team that won 93 games just 3 years ago

  9. I was supposed to start a new job on Saturday, but there have been contracting delays so the place can’t open till mid/late September. As such, I have nothing to do but sit around and watch baseball for the time being and I got to see this play live.

As soon as I saw three people converging on that ball, I knew there was no chance it would end up being caught. I feel awful for the players. Having that happen in with two outs in an inning where your starter walks five isn’t even funny or enjoyable anymore, it’s just sad. I wonder if any/how many players who could’ve gone on to have solid careers will leave the sport forever because playing for this team killed their love of the game.

  10. I’ve typed out like 3 different comments about how angry I am and how ridiculous this is and I keep deleting them because I just can’t bring myself to even pretend to care about how horrible the product I’m watching is

  11. What was Vargas doing? Benintendi was calling for it all the way. Dude could’ve knocked out both of them.

Did not enjoy that. It’s like watching a man beat up a sick child.

  12. Could the best AAA team in the minors beat this White Sox team in a best of 5 series? I definitely think last year’s Norfolk Tides could beat them.

  13. I dunno guys, I think that play might light a fire in the belly of Vargas. Lots of young talent brewing, White Sox might go a lean, mean 57-105 next year

  14. I’ve watched a lot of terrible Orioles teams over the years but these white Sox are just another level of bad.

  15. After tonight, the White Sox will need to go 8-14, better than their record this entire season, to hit the 39 wins they need to not have the worst season in MLB history in both number of losses and winning percentage.

  16. This season has just become sad for Sox fans. Every week seems to be a new memeable clip or moment, and there doesn’t seem to any accountability in the organization. The fans deserve so much better than what they’ve gotten.

  17. After seeing Varges memes, maybe he ran into Beni on purpose to get out playing on the team s/.

  18. Why the hell was the 3rd baseman out there trying to grab that?

I’m an outfielder myself, and I’m used to the Shortstop or 2nd baseman coming into shallow OF to make a grab, but the 3rd baseman running into mid OF is crazy.

That is entirely on the 3rd baseman.
