I dont like the second one as much as the first.
They NEED to take the series vs the Phillies. Anything less it will look like they are going to play an extra series unless the Phillies totally collapse… which is kinda happening right now.
But, 24 games to get 9 wins, hell ya this is the Brewers to lose for the playoffs.
I was getting nervous that we wouldn’t have charts this season
Omfg that Cubs chart is gorgeous ðŸ˜
Edit: And good job on the Phillies chart with all the different scenarios!
Fantastic work! I’ll add that our chances of winning the division are way better than your brain might think when glancing at graphs like these, since there’s an instinct to gauge probabilities by looking at the proportion of color in the graph. The “corner” outcomes are much (much much much) less likely than the center outcomes.
This doesn’t seem right. Correct me if I’m wrong, but since the Brewers are 10 games up, if they go 0-24 the cubs would only have to win 11 games to win the division, not 15?
I’ve seen these for idk how many years in and I still have no idea how to read them. I just know it’s good when they take up a majority.
Something is off with the math on this chart. It is showing the Brewers leading by like 5 more games than they are. If the Cubs win out they have 95 wins. That means the Brewers need 14 wins to tie and take the division.
