Jesse Winker hit a grand slam in the first inning to put the Mets up early. The Red Sox walked in three runs in the bottom of the eighth to give New York insurance runs as the Mets went on to beat Boston 8-3.

  2. That's what I'm talking about, when you got a team on the ropes, keep beating them down. A great sweep, hoping the good vibes carry on over the weekend against Cincy & maybe the Toronto Blue Jays can give us Mets fans a helping hand as well…

  3. Today the bullpen was up to the task, getting out of several troubles with 3 double plays. Alonso, the truth is, I honestly don't want to see him here next year. Here we need decisive hitters, not one who strikes out at every opportunity to score.

  7. I pray as a Red Sox fan we don’t see Cora in our dugout next year. He’s the worst in-game manager there is. Our fundamentals are terrible too, that’s poor coaching. When a manager gives up on a team the players follow suit. That’s what we’re seeing.

  11. The Mets need Pete Alonzo to not strike out so much if they want to have a chance of getting in the playoffs. He is one of the keys to their offense.
