Be the beginning of their window, though I do expect 26/27 for the sharks to make the playoffs
This is the most exciting the Sharks have maybe ever been.
Even more than Marleau, Thornton, Nabokov, Burns, Karlsson, Pavelski, Meier, Hertl, etc were.
With Celebrini, Smith, Eklund, Askarov, Dickinson, Muk, Musty, Zetterlund, Bord, Halt, Chern, Bystedt, Cagnoni, etc etc etc.. plus another top 3 pick after this season most likely.. plus a GM who appears to be maybe one of the best we’ve ever had… I truly think Grier is going to bring us our first cup (or more) in the next 5-8 years.
And you don’t have to contend to be an exciting team. The fun starts this very season, even if we finish dead last again and get another glorious 1st overall pick.. I’m definitely going to some games this year to watch our young exciting team (first time I’ll have caught a game in a few years). Our top 6 is really exciting, already, THIS year! And Askarov.. man, that’s something the Sharks have literally never had, despite some really good goaltenders over the years, but none as promising as this.
When will they enter their “competitive window?” Honestly, I don’t care, it will come. Cuz it’s already exciting as hell watching this rebuild.
The fun starts THIS YEAR!! The future is HELLA Teal!!
