  1. People are completely misjudging Florian's potential. They see his name and size at it is all to facile to regard him as a bottom six player. In fact, his skating and offensive skills are much higher than the usual 4th line prospects. Florian was an important cog on the Bulldogs' power play last year in the OHL where he played the right point/half boards. As he showed at the development camp last month, he was a notch above most of the Canadiens' other forward prospects. It's easy to see Florian challenging for a middle six role on the Canadiens in a few years. While he probably won't make the Canadiens out of training camp, if Florian is as effective as he was during his brief stint in the AHL at the end of last year, he will be among the first call ups if injuries once again beset the team.

  2. Class act by Caufield. A huge boost in his maturity and we have no real idea what Gaudreau meant to him. Watch out for Caufield this upcoming season. GHG

  3. I think Florian will dominate the Habs/Leafs prospects game. Also, he needs one more year in Laval to hone all of his skills and then, next year, he should be one of the best young players on the habs. I want to see him put on another 8 to 10 pounds and score +30 goals on Laval this season. He is under-rated at the moment but he will be a 2nd or 3rd line player with the Habs in the future!

  4. Suggest Florian is given time to develop. Making the jump from OHL to NHL is not easy. Suzuki was kept back to dominate the OHL despite being selected 13th overall so how about seeing if Florian can do dominate in the AHL before joining Habs.

Habs are also at a different place in time where they do not have to rush all their young prospects to the NHL and IMO the comparison to Arber should be stopped.

The Richard brothers were compared as were the Plager brothers, the Mahovlich's, the Hull brothers etc…. Let Florian have the time to develop without the pressure of comparing to his "unicorn" brother.

  5. The guys skating already really shows that they're motivated to get going and improve on last year's result.

The management put together a team of high character and high passion players.

Also, forgot to say congrats on 14k subs.

  6. Whats better than one Xhekaj … two Xhekaj !! Well said boys ,, I'm super pumped for this Habs season and just to watch them transform into the beast that they will become and can't wait to play the Bolts ,Leafs, Bruins… slap em around 'til they cry to their momma 🤣

  7. The way Florian trots, the way he tramples over guys and just gallops to the next is truly incredible, and on top of that he never takes a shift off, no horsing around.

  8. I'm betting you guys Reinbacher will reach the 50 NHL games played before Hutson & Mailloux.
Have a serious look at the Olympics qualifier tourno he just had at only 19 he TOOK OVER the Austrian defense, had the most TOI, suprised the Slovakian team of Tomas Tatar, Simon Nemec, Martin Pospisil & KHL players with an unexpectedly tight game, same again against Kazakhstan in which his zone exits greatly contributed to Austria managing to trigger 45 shots ! And then had yet another tremendous game against Hungary being the number one D driver in coming back from that 3_0 deficit to equalize & force the overtime and ultimately win it. Austrian defense has a new boss, first name David.

  9. 13 has always been a lucky number in my family, and I’m a huge Habs fan since the late 1960’s, so let’s return to those glory days, I’ve been patient and waited too long to miss this next decade of Habs glory!
