This one was on Hinch, with a rested bullpen, he left a nothing starter in to throw a nothing-burger pitch to the hottest hitter on the Padres with a 5-0 lead, and two on , no outs. The pitch and the results were predictable. Yikes!
Well, we know the price of a gold glove third baseman, courtesy of the Giants: 6-years 151 million. The Tigers let Candelario walk and still seem unconcerned about fixing the problem. I know there's a pile of stats somewhere that back up using multiple players at third base as a stop-gap, but, this has been going on far too long. At the least, turn on the "help wanted" sign for third base this week for a trade. Maybe have a chat with Jung, explain to him that the organization will do everything they can to help him at third.
Padres are in a different league than the Tigers!
The Padres have one of the best lineups. Hopefully the Tigers can steal the rubber match.
