If you’re asking the question, you shouldn’t be answering. Like, we knew Sid had to become Penguins captain. Ovechkin had to for the Caps. They’re not just franchise faces, they’re faces of the game. And some markets there’s a legacy factor and like, the Leafs can’t not name Matthews and risk another Phaneuf or Ramage on that list. If you don’t have one of those scenarios, the locker room should decide.
