  1. With a $4M cap hit for 2024/25, I think there’s a chance he’s a salary dump before the regular season

  2. Even if Springer starts making threes and takes a step into a playable rotation guy, with the current market I don’t see him getting much more than a minimum unless someone really values his potential growth at his age.

    You got guys like Gary Trent and Tyus Jones taking minimums. Springer taking a slight leap isn’t gonna make him much more even at his age.

    Right now what he’s fighting for is likely battling Walker as the rotation Wing/Guard after the playoff rotation. If Walker is just better than him and plays ahead of him, he’ll definitely get moved at the deadline.
