Not just a Cubs legend – a Chicago legend.
Build the statue, retire the jersey. I don’t care that he’s not going to Cooperstown.
I miss you Anthony.
He was traded halfway through 2021
Go back to Chicagah!
Seriously tho you seemed much happier, there.
EDIT apparently I have offended many, IDGAF
I miss his smile and fun nature when he was on the Cubs. New York took his soul like so many others…
God I love him. That dude’s face just makes me smile idk
I wish he didn’t leave on bad terms, especially since he ended up being wrong.
Love that they still called him number 44
This legit made me smile. Good on you, Cubs fans.
that sort of thing must still feel neat for these guys
I hope he goes yard and the Cubs fan go wild
this is the only one of these i think is warranted. i don’t think every time a player that used to play somewhere comes back to town we have to have a standing ovation and a video recap of their career. it’s like the retirement tour. it gets less meaningful every time someone does it.
Rizzo and the rest of the 2016 team made me believe anything was possible. I really had doubts I’d ever see the Cubs win it all and then Rizzo made me believe.
Probably why I still have hope that the Bears will find a great qb
R to the Izzo.
Here is the tribute video that preceded this clip.
We still love you, Rizzo. You shoulda had a Captain’s “C” on your jersey while you were here.
The fucking man. Forever and always a legend. My favorite Cub of all time
Oh Captain, my Captain
I loved the interaction between him and Freddie when he struck out Freeman then caught him in a rundown a few days later. Such a fun guy to watch play!

Happy for him
Announcer was off just odd way of presenting the moment
Ignore my flair…
Nice moment for Rizzo and Cubs fans. A deserving player for a deserving fan base.
Rizzo will always be my favorite player. A man with a massive heart and an incredible player. Not a day goes by where I don’t think of the day he was traded.
nice retirement tour
Bring him back
I still hate this man not only because cubs but because my friend works in the cubs organization and has told me nothing but bad things about Rizzo and how much of an ass he is.
I wonder how many 2016 players are gonna get their numbers retired by the Cubs.

I miss him
I had to put my dog down yesterday and so last night we were watching old videos and stumbled across a video my wife recorded of me reacting to the cubs winning the WS. As I was freaking out, so were the dogs. The tribute video just hit me so hard in the feels. Good job by you, media team!
